How to Make Tandoori Grilled Chicken

 Marinate, Marinate, Marinate! Not only does it make your chicken juicy it’s what makes the chicken Tandoori Grilled Chicken. A spicy, flavorful and smoky chicken that’s popular across the globe. Serves 4 Total Time: 40 minutes plus 8-12 hours marinating 

Marinade Ingredients:

1 cup whole milk Greek yogurt 

4 tablespoons garam masala 

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice 

2 tablespoons vegetable oil 

1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger 

1 clove garlic, minced 

Salt and pepper, to taste.

Other Ingredients:

2 1/2 lbs skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs 

Garnish: 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, optional 


Whisk together marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Add the chicken, toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 8-12 hours.

Preheat grill or grill pan to medium and lightly oil. Add chicken skin side down, turning occasionally for 25-30 minutes. Make sure internal temperature reaches 165F, before removing from heat. 

Serve with a Greek Cucumber Salad or Creamy Tomato Cucumber Salad
